Album Info:Here are 69 photos of Pennsylvania Railroad locomotives that were taken in and about Camden, New Jersey, during the years 1953-1962. Almost all of them were purchased via eBay auctions conducted by Mr. Tim Rose: one on 12 July 2020 and six on 24 August 2020. The photographer's name, the locomotive road number(s), and the date are cited when specified on the slide mount. Most of the slide mounts are annotated "Al Roberts Collection."

Description:  Camden. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken inside of the PRSL Engine House in Camden, New Jersey, on 24 June 1957. The photographer is not identified. Partially visible here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5439, #4035, and another locomotive whose number is not recorded. #5439 is a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during March of 1927 and retired in April of 1958. #4035 is a B-6SB (0-6-0) switcher built in Juniata during November of 1916 and retired in November of 1957. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #8524 and #8531. Both are ES-12M switchers built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,200 horsepower each. #8524 was constructed in December of 1952, while #8531 was built in March of 1953.
