PRR 7189, EFS-17M, 1964 |
Description: |
Tipton. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Tipton, Pennsylvania, on 10 May 1964. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engine #7189, an unidentified "B" unit, and engine #7059. All are EFS-17M's built by EMD and rated at 1,750 horsepower each; #7189 was built in 1957, but #7059 was built in 1956. They are pulling a 50-car eastbound merchandise freight train with N-8 caboose #478219. Visible on the right is the Bellwood-Tipton Road. Also note the on-coming passenger train in the distance. |
