GP-38 B&M EX MEC 254 sits in Lowell after being in North Billerica for years. This is the last unit in MEC paint left on the system and now it's gone. Her destination was Boise, Idaho to be used to build PHL 21

Ron Moraca General Well, Billy, she might be headed to the Morris-Knudsen facility in Boise, ID, to be rebuilt. I can't say this for sure, but when this picture was taken, this GP38 was a wreck. 10/26/2007 6:09:13 PM
David Harding General I agree with the above comment about the possibility of it going to M-K. Agreed this unit is a wreck for sure but I have seen pictures of units that have gone to M-K in far worse condition come out of their shop looking factory new though they wern't new to begin with. They are certainly miracle workers in Boise. 5/12/2011 1:28:25 PM
