| UP had a large number of two-bay covered hoppers stored up to their end-of-track at MP 119 south (RR east) of Brooklyn, WI on the segment of the former C&NW Chicago-Twin Cities line between Janesville and Madison. The line is out-of-service west of there through Brooklyn, then operated by Wisconsin and Southern out of Madison. They pulled these in two sections in early May, 2021. This was the second such move, of 77 cars. Unfortunately, due to work I couldn't get them on the extremely rarely used mileage west of the Landmark Co-op through the city of Evansville, catching up just as the train was coming past Landmark. |
