MDiv. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by John Dziobko, Jr., that was taken in Duncannon, Pennsylvania, on 4 May 1957. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #9610 and two more "AF" Class units whose numbers are not recorded. All were built by the American Locomotive Company. #9610 is an AF-16 built in May of 1951, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in July of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service. This A-B-A set is about to pass the Duncannon Passenger Station with a fully-loaded mineral train. Note the US Mail pick-up post at end of the wooden walkway. ("Stoneborobranch"; #40 of 56) |
