During the unusually cold winter of 1976-77 freshly reconditioned steam generators were lined up in the diesel shop at New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal, awaiting installation in E-units which had experienced freeze damage up north. The label on the steam generator in the foreground identified it as a Vapor OK-4625 SIMPLIFIED, overhauled by the Durox Equipment Co. of Strongsville, Ohio. |
