The newest addition to the Danbury Railway Museum's fleet of equipment is this caboose, recently acquired from the Canadian Pacific Railway. Built as Erie Lackawanna C-378 in 1970, it went to the D&H in 1976 rather than Conrail and continued in service for "The Bridge Line" into the Guilford and CP eras. The last assignment for this car before retirement was the CP locals in the Plattsburgh, NY area. Note th`t the car still retains its Guilford orange paint, minus Big G, a rarity to see in the 21st centurx. |
