Union Pacific's LUC-51 glides east along the old UP Provo Subdivision at milepost 756.1. This was Union Pacific's Provo-Salt Lake City Local,In just one mile,The train will be entering the Rio Grande Mainline. This track was ripped out in 2008 to make way for Utah Transit Authority's Front Runner Project. Where there once was just a single track line,There are now two tracks with an upgraded right of way and high speed commuter trains. Union Pacific trains going to and from Provo now enter the Rio Grande Mainline at University Avenue.
