NKP 772  Contributor's Pick!
Erie, PA August of 1951. The city of Erie was having a week long celebration of their centennial. Also in this consist are the flat car, an NKP caboose and boxcar. According to the source of this info, there were stairs erected to allow access to the all this equipment, it would have been on the left side of the engine. This was NKP's small yard in Erie near Holland Street. Thanks to J. Kreider for this information

Jeff Lisowski General I'll wager this is 772 being delivered from Lima "as new." 11/25/2012 6:34:00 PM
Jeff Lisowski General OK, so after some discussion at RYPN, it appears that the NKP Pullman in front of 772 is the "City of Erie" and was delivered to the NKP in Feb of 1950. There are other photos circulating showing NKP Pullmans being shown in their namesake cities when delivered. 772 was built in March of 1949 so very likely this was her appearance after her first major classified repairs. Location most likley is Erie, PA 11/26/2012 11:31:03 AM
