William Grimes General This is a GE 65-Tonner, maybe ex-USN. 12/3/2010 5:20:25 PM
Bill Caswell General The roster book list it as a GE 44T #152408 Built 1957 ex USMC 12/3/2010 8:20:35 PM
William Grimes General Production of the 44-tonner ended in 1956. This is ballasted to be a 65-tons. The North American Shortline Railway Guide is well known for having wrong information, similar roster books seem to list all center-cabs as 44-tons. The Yuma Valley had an ex-Army Davenport 44-ton. 12/4/2010 12:24:29 PM
Steve Young General 44-tonners do not have walk-around hood ends. 152408 is not a GE constructor's number, and according to GE constructor records, they did build any locomotives for the USMC in 1957. 12/23/2018 8:08:28 PM
