Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, c. 1977. Prominent here is Amtrak engine #4935, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electric built in Juniata as Pennsylvania Railroad engine number "4935" during March of 1943, rated at 4,620 horsepower, and presently on exhibit at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg. It's pulling the "Broadway Limited" on its daily sojourn from New York City to Chicago. Henry C. Westenberger Collection. |
