| At 4:03 on a dark and wet Saturday afternoon the Southern Pacific's 15-car special for Super Bowl XX was about to back in to New Orlean Union Passenger Terminal. However, the dreary weather nicely accentuated the number boards, Gyralight, headlight, extra lights and ground light. The train consisted of SDP45's 3207 and 3201, baggage cars 295 and 298, 10-6 sleeper 292, diner 290, lounge cars 291 and 289 CITY OF ANGELS, and office cars 117 TUCSON, 151 PINE BLUFF, 131 LOS ANGELES, 141 OAKLAND, 99 HOUSTON, 100 AIRSLIE, 106 OREGON, 110 STANFORD and 150 SUNSET. It was quite a train! |
