| Burlington & Missouri River Railroad 4-6-0 294 at Paterson, New Jersey sometime in May 1892, photographer unknown, Chuck Zeiler collection. This ten wheeler was built by the Rogers Locomotive & Machine Works of Paterson, New Jersey, completed in May 1892 as B&MR 294. During 1898, the Burlington System created a classification system for its locomotives, and this one became a class K-1, with no change in the number. During 1904, the Burlington consolidated the locomotive numbering system, and 294 became CB&Q 626. It was retired in December 1931. |
