| I think that the railroad's motivation for this fence was not entirely motivated by aesthetics, but probably safety as well to keep pedestrians crossing at defined points and off the railroad tracks. It didn't work - I saw a pair of young ladies, one of whom was sitting on the tracks posing (these are active mainline tracks, mind you) and the other taking her photograph. |
