| The 'Garita's in the Slough! The Santa Margarita Turn crosses over the Elkhorn Slough in a blanket of fog. Amazingly, it was sunny and clear less than a mile from here, but as I drove into the Slough area, we were socked in with pea soup. Didn't slow the train down though, which had already hit track speed. This bridge's official name is the "Elkhorn Slough Railroad Bridge," of course. The GP15-1 comes from Missouri Pacific and was delivered to the MP in August of 1981. |
