Description:
Nice photo by H.S. Ludlow of the 1929 Alco-Schenectady built Hudson at the passenger station in Bellefontaine, OH. Originally built as #6600 for the Big Four (Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago & St Louis), it was later renumbered by NYC to 5375. Specifics - class J-1d, 79" drivers, 225 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylinders, engine weight of 346,500 lb, tractive effort of 42,366 lb. No exact day in 1951 one was specific so an approximate day was used.
