Info on the locomotive: VRE V01 EMD RP39-2C (Ex SBD 6669 GP40, Exx SCL 1512 GP40, Née ACL 927 GP40) SN 32362, Built 12/1966 as a GP40 for the Atlantic Coast Line? RR, got a com...plete rebuild in 1990 and top deck rebuild & new hot starts completed 2005-2009. Ran for Virginia Railway Express from 1992 until about a month ago (July 2011) when it was sold to Motive Power (hence the MPEX), and is now on its way to Boise, ID for what I hope is just a rebuild... Sad to see her go after all these years. (Info from CPCresston on youtube)
