Album Info:This train was operated by Steam Locomotive Heritage Association, the new organization in charge of the Soo Line 1003 steam locomotive at Hartford. 1003 was originally supposed to pull this train as its first public event following its "15-year" overhaul. However, it suffered mechanical problems on the positioning move from Hartford to Milton, and they were serious enough that WSOR E9A 101 had to pinch hit for 1003, and the following weekend's planned train on the Northern Division was cancelled altogether.

WSOR 101 about to cross John Paul Road on seldom used track
Title:  WSOR 101 about to cross John Paul Road on seldom used track
Description:  Since trains rarely travel directly from the Waukesha Sub to the Madison Sub (or vice versa) a through train at this crossing is unusual. This track is usually blocked by stored covered hoppers.
