BEDT 0-6-0T #12 - Brooklyn East District Terminal |
Description: |
Originally built by H. K. Porter in 1916 for the US Navy Fleet Supply South Brooklyn, the little tank loco eventually migrated to the Brooklyn East District Terminal. It was also converted from coal burnning to oil burning. The little guy was retired circa 1962 and luckily ended up at the sunny Florida RR Museum as a static display. Maybe someday it will be restored to run the rails again! The date for the photo is approximate |

BEDT 0-6-0T #13 - Brooklyn East District Terminal |
Description: |
Built by H. K. Porter in 1916 for the US Navy Fleet Supply South Brooklyn, this little tank engine eventually moved over to the Brooklyn East District Terminal to work shuffling cars there until retirement around 1962. The once coal burner was converted some earlier time to being an oil burner. After retirement, it ended up at the RR Museum of Pennsylvania as an outdoor static display. I'm not sure of its status since 2010 as it doesn't appear on the latest museum rosters. The date for the photo is an approximate one as none was listed. |
