Viewing Album:  Return to the NEC at Morrisville after 34 years

Album Info:Returning to the NEC at Morrisville after 34 years showed a generational shift in locomotives and equipment, as well as the absence of Conrail freight traffic. The only survivors remaining from the 1980's were the Septa Silverliner IV's. In the place of the long gone GG1's, E60's, Metroliners, and recently retired AEM7's were Septa Silverliner V's, NJ Transit ALP-46's, and Amtrak Asela and ACS-64's. Security changes had removed access to the wonderful trackside view, and added a Morris-emblemed signal box to that spot. Other Amtrak security changes from the 1970-1980's included fencing of parking lots and any areas near trackside. A fenced dog park and open field near the Delaware River were the only public access for photos.
