Album Info:CMQ took over operations from MMA just a few weeks prior to these photos. Accordingly there wasn’t a lot of traffic on the CMQ during the month of August so finding an active train was some what a matter of luck. An early morning drive to Brownville Jct found an east bound just about to depart. We caught that train at the Brownville Y coming off the Kathadan Sub taking the north leg of the Y headed for Millinocket. We waited for the train at the North Brownville Road Xing but it didn’t show up. We later learned the train had some problems and was heldup for a bit. At West Seboeis a New Brunswick Southern (NBSR) train off the NMRY found us headed west to the new EMRY junction east of Brownville. This train was handleing mostly wood products for Canada. This train was held at Inlet Road, West Seboeis waiting for the CMQ train to enter the passing siding near Packards. After the meet we moved to Millinocket to check on the state of afairs at the yard. In the next group of photos we caught the NMRY train headed east on former CP trackage, now know as The Eastern Maine Ry (EMRY). /DL
